August garden wedding at Mwabomba Garden

Shakira and Robert envisioned a luncheon garden wedding in August, and that is exactly what they got. The two were in the UK until three weeks before their wedding but this didn't stop us from planning and coordinating the wedding in Malawi prior to their arrival.

I'll let you in on a little secret 😉... So Shakira had three wedding dresses because, why have two when you can have three right?! We were so excited to make all three dresses work on the day and we were going to manage the changing of the three within the timeframe of the wedding ceremony and reception. Upon arrival in Malawi, it turned out the dress we both loved the most didn't fit! Our bride had lost some weight since the last time she tried it in the UK. We had plans to have some alterations made to the dress but Shakira made a choice not to go through that hassle and to just wear the two that she had, and I must say, she made a beautiful bride in the two dresses.

The wedding colours were peach and white and they just blended in well with the beautiful greenery at Mwabomba Garden. The rustic finishes in the decor were an extra touch. 

Let's talk food 😋!! The food which we didn't think would be enough because of Malawian wedding crashers turned out to be more than enough with guests going for seconds. Yup! seconds! Mdede Restaurant pulled out all the stops with the food hey!
